Victoria Silvstedt was born and raised in the north of Sweden in what you could only call ‘wooly back’ territory. In fact Victoria Silvstedt’s home town of Skelleftehamn is so far north that it’s dark for three months of the year. This is no bad thing as it means you’d able to go to bed with Victoria Silvstedt for 12 weeks without having to get up once.
Before winning a Swedish beauty pageant, Victoria Silvstedt was an avid skier and the leggy platinum blonde was good enough to represent the Swedish national ski team competing in the Super Giant Slalom at junior level.
Sadly a tragic accident during a competition at the age of 16 meant Victoria Silvstedt had to trade her ski sticks for stilettos and the giddy world of glamour.
Modelling legend, well the Official Victoria Silvstedt site, has it that when she was first entered into The Miss Sweden beauty contest at the age of 17 she had never worn a pair of heels before, but the brave wannabe hit the ramp and took to it like a heroin addict to a needle.
Gutsy Victoria Silvstedt went on to win the 1993 Miss Sweden competition, earning her a place at the Miss World finals held in South Africa.
While Victoria didn’t win in the finals of the Miss World 1993 competition, that accolade went to Miss Jamaica, Lisa Hanna, but Victoria Silvstedt did place in the top ten and got herself under the radar of the top model agencies in the world.
Indeed no sooner had the final curtain dropped on the Miss World finals Victoria Silvstedt’s phone was ringing off the hook and she was snapped up by a top French modelling agency. Victoria’s CV soon read like a guide to a Fifth Avenue shopping trip working for designers such as Mr Byrite, Iceland and TK Maxx. We jest, we’re really on about brands such as Chanel, Dior, Armani, Givenchy, Valentino and Azzaro among others.
A series of catwalk and high profile assignments soon meant Hugh Hefner and the Playboy empire started sniffing around Victoria Silvstedt and it wasn’t too long before the super shanked Swede appeared as Playmate of the Month.

More recently Victoria Silvstedt has turned her smoothly manicured mitts to acting and presenting and has performed in a number of Hollywood movies including Boat Trip, Out Cold and The Independent.
In Italy, where Victoria Silvstedt is particularly popular, she made a number of bigger movies specifically for the Italian market appearing as the female lead in ‘La Mia Vita a Stelle e Strisce’ a semi erotic pasta thriller filler and ‘Un Maresciallo in Gondola’ which translates roughly as ‘A Marshall in a Gondola’. Neither sound like they ever troubled the Oscar board, but are probably worth fast-forwarding through for the juicy bits that feature Victoria Silvstedt.

Okay, the Swedish market isn’t the biggest or the most discerning on the planet where music is concerned (Abba aside) what with all that darkness for three bloody months out of 12 per annum, but Victoria Silvstedt has had an album go gold in the land of the midnight sun – yes, they also get an equal dose of solid sunlight every year too. If you’re interested, the album was dance focused meaning it’s not that necessary to be able to warble like a canary and was called ‘Girl on the Run’.
Victoria Silvstedt has also appeared in a raft of reality and TV shows including Candid Camera (home videos of trailer park people being sick or bumming their dog), Sport with Victoria on Eurosport (minority sports like egg rolling at 3am in the morning), Eurotrash (dippy French loon and midget gay Frenchie gawp at porn freaks around Europe), Project Catwalk (wannabe models cry and gasp when asked to perform the simplest task and then cry some more).
Victoria Silvstedt has even starred in her very own smugly titled vehicle Victoria Silvstedt: My Perfect Life. This was largely produced to counter her own marital problems (come on she married a guy about five inches shorter than her – never going to work) and industry rumours doing the rounds that Victoria Silvstedt had a decent sized coke habit and could be persuaded to love you for an evening if the price was right.
Despite these allegations which are wholly unproven – apart from the dwarf husband, Victoria Silvstedt is still a huge brand and has now launched her own range of lingerie, Very Victoria Silvstedt.
